Hey! I'm Ian McBride. Nice to meet you. You look great, by the way.

I'm a Storyboard/Animation Artist and Writer finishing my Bachelor's of Science in Entertainment Design - Animation Track at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California.

I think about production from every position. I get projects where they need to go with bold (and economical) creative solutions. I ask the right questions, make big choices, get my hands dirty, and together we reap the rewards.

In a world of specialists, I only resist categorization because I've worn a lot of hats. I have the skills and enthusiasm to learn more, and I know how to keep all the plates spinning.

Animation and Storyboards? I write and act -- I get subtext.

Visdev? I paint, draw, and design with gusto.

 

My writing filters into my animation: I've traveled the world, collecting stories from San Diego to the Netherlands,

I've been helicoptered out of canyons, and peeled my car out of conditions that would make Hunter S. Thompson call his mom.

Everything I do is to honor the interconnection of our world and the ways we are all better for our reliance on one another. The memories and experiences I've had the privilege to collect have taught me there's a hero in all of us, given the chance.
